The snow is nearly gone – just a little is left in the shadows here and there – and the hills are greening! Children and animals alike are delighting in the warm sunny weather. We haven’t needed to light the wood stove for a couple of nights, though mornings are cool, so winter really is over!

Most of this year’s calves have arrived. Our herd isn’t yet large enough to supply the need for beef, so we still purchase grass-fed animals from local ranchers to fulfill the demand. We’re thankful for our expanding community and the willingness with which other ranchers work with us! Our goal is to grow our own herd of cows large enough that all the beef we sell will be born and raised here on the ranch.
We picked up fresh beef from the butcher this morning. Brian is busily packing orders today and tomorrow, and plans to head onto the road very early Wednesday morning to deliver first to Kelowna and then to the Fraser Valley. If you haven’t had a chance to do so yet, and would like to order beef for this run, please note that some of the cuts and offals we were sold out of are now in good supply. We also have some new soaps just ready, and a fresh batch of tallow balm made just this morning.
Please notice the delivery schedule for the Fraser Valley posted at the very bottom of our home page. Also note that to reach Brian while he’s on the road, please follow the instructions there.
We are blessed and privileged to work together at home on the ranch. We hope you enjoy the fruit of our labours as much as we do! It’s truly rewarding to work hard producing healthy, natural meats and deliver them to you! As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us. And if you would like to take a scenic drive through some of the most beautiful country in BC, you are welcome to come pick up your beef or pork right here at the ranch!
